Welcome to the Shiatsu Studio, where the aim of the business is to provide relief for pain and discomfort associated with ageing
Although the basis of all treatments is Shiatsu, there are a number of different modalities which can be incorporated in order to provide the best relief for general aches and pains associated with ageing.
Spinal alignment is vital because if nerves are impinged, their function of 'sparking' their associated body areas and organs is compromised leading to diminished function and discomfort or dis-ease.
Circulation too is important as fresh blood carries fresh oxygen which feeds and nourishes the cells. Tight muscles hold onto toxins which in turn create problems. Stimulating blood flow is a priority in my treatments.
An appointment usually lasts in the region of a hour and I use a combination of treatments in order to provide my clients with the best possible solution to their particular dis-ease.

ABOUT ME:
Margie Candy. I studied reflexology in 1994 which opened the door to Chinese Medicine, a subject which has become my passion. I've been doing shiatsu since 2002. I worked for three years from a health shop in Bedfordview doing, mainly, head, neck and shoulder massage before lecturing shiatsu at Camelot International for three years. I then ran The Shiatsu Studio in Germiston and Boksburg and have now moved to Mossel Bay
My main line of business is the treatment of back pain but shiatsu can be used for any number of different conditions including headaches, asthma, digestive problems, arthritis and can be an aid in falling pregnant.
Besides my love of Traditional Chinese medicine, I am a firm believer in utilizing nutrition and vitamin supplements to treat dis-ease as well as incorporating an awareness of how emotions can impact on the body. The release of trapped emotions can play an enormous part on the road to health.
